Thank you for shopping with CEREBOTO. We aim to support the open-source hardware ecosystem with fair and transparent after-sales service.
This policy explains eligibility for returns/refunds, how to start a return, and special conditions for developer-supplied items.
1) Return Window & Eligibility
- Change-of-mind returns: within 14 days of delivery. Item must be unused, in original packaging, and resalable (all accessories/manuals included).
- Defective on Arrival (DOA): Report within 7 days of delivery with photos/video and order number; we will repair, replace, or refund.
- Wrong/short shipment: Notify us within 7 days of delivery.
- For products shipped by developers/partners (“Developer Direct”), timelines may vary slightly; we will coordinate your case with the project owner.
2) Non-Returnable Items
- Opened or partially used electronic components (e.g., resistors/ICs/ESD-sensitive parts) not found defective.
- Customized/assembled items (e.g., custom PCBs, made-to-order enclosures).
- Kits that have been soldered/modified or have missing parts/packaging.
- Downloadable software/files, license keys, or documentation.
- Items with hygiene/safety restrictions or batteries once opened (unless DOA).
3) Condition Requirements
- Include all accessories, cables, manuals, and the original packaging.
- Remove any personal data or Wi-Fi credentials before return.
- Products showing misuse, burns, liquid damage, improper voltage/polarity, or unauthorized repair are not eligible.
4) How to Initiate a Return
- Email support@cereboto.com with your order number, reason for return, and evidence (photos/video if defective).
- We will issue an RMA number and return instructions (and coordinate with the developer if Developer Direct).
- Pack securely and clearly write the RMA on the label; ship using a trackable service and share the tracking number.
5) Return Shipping Costs
- Change-of-mind: Buyer pays return shipping.
- DOA/our error: We cover reasonable return shipping or provide a prepaid label (where available).
- For international returns, original shipping, customs duties, taxes, and import fees are non-refundable. Any re-import charges for the return may be deducted from the refund if applicable.
6) Refunds
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection of the returned item.
- Once approved, allow 5–10 business days for your bank or payment provider to post the credit.
- If items are missing/accessories damaged, we may offer a partial refund reflecting the diminished value.
- Where applicable, a restocking fee (up to 10%) may apply to non-defective change-of-mind returns to cover inspection/repacking.
7) Exchanges & Repairs
For DOA or early failures, we will offer a replacement unit when stock is available. Otherwise, we will process a refund or repair per the developer’s warranty terms.
8) Developer-Supplied Items
Some products are shipped and warranted by independent developers. CEREBOTO will facilitate the process, but final technical evaluation may be performed by the developer. Processing time can vary depending on their location and queue.
9) Lost, Stolen, or Damaged in Transit
- Report packages marked “delivered” but not received within 3 days so we can assist with the carrier investigation.
- For visible damage, refuse the parcel or document photos before opening and contact us within 7 days.
- Carrier claims may require buyer cooperation (photos, affidavits). Resolution timelines depend on the carrier.
10) Warranty Disclaimer
Unless stated on the product page, items are provided “as is” for development/educational use. Performance in end-products is not guaranteed.
Developer-specific warranties (if any) will be honored according to their stated terms.
